A Little Bit About Me
Twenty years behind the lens.
Finally doing this for a living.
For more than twenty years I photographed every important moment in the lives of the people I loved most — not as a photographer, but as someone who simply couldn't put the camera down. A career in education and a lifetime of watching families taught me that the real moments are always the ones in between. Now I do this work on purpose, with intention, and with everything I have.
Rooted in the Bluegrass
I am a natural light photographer serving families across Northern and Central Kentucky — on location, in the places that mean something to you. Outdoors whenever possible, and by window light for newborn and motherhood sessions. No flash. No studio. Just honest, beautiful light and real family life.
From the neighborhoods and parks of Covington to the rolling hills of Versailles— I travel to you.

From My Heart to Yours
A Note from Heather...
"I know that inviting a photographer into your life can feel a little vulnerable. Please know that I am not looking for perfection—I am looking for the magic in your mess and the beauty in your everyday rhythm. My goal is to make this process feel like a slow, casual afternoon with a friend, resulting in a gallery that feels like home. I can't wait to meet your family exactly where you are."
Helpful Details
How can I prepare for a relaxed photo session?
Simply focus on being present rather than posing. I adore seeing families in soft, natural fabrics that allow for play and movement. Please prioritize connection over polish—I am here to capture the honest love that shines when you are at ease. Family life is often imperfectly perfect, and those are exactly the moments I want to preserve. After booking, you will receive a helpful guide with styling tips so you can relax and enjoy your kids.
Which Kentucky locations do you typically visit?
I travel to you to keep things simple and familiar for your little ones. We can document a cozy newborn session in your own living room or meet at a scenic local park in Northern or Central Kentucky. Whether we are in a sunlit field in Versailles or a quiet nook in Boone County, the location serves as a backdrop to your unique family energy. I am happy to suggest a spot that feels just right for your specific story.
What is the vibe of a lifestyle photo session?
It feels like a slow, casual afternoon with a friend. I avoid stiff posing or asking you to stare at the camera for an hour. Instead, I lead you through natural play and quiet snuggles to find those perfectly imperfect instances of real life. My goal is to capture the genuine rhythm of your family, celebrating the beautiful, messy, and quiet moments that make your household so special.
When will our private digital gallery be ready?
Your private online gallery will be ready within three weeks of your session. Every image is hand-edited with a warm, natural touch before delivery. From there you'll choose your favorites to finalize your collection.
How does the investment and booking process work?
Booking begins with a $200 retainer that secures your session date. This retainer is non-refundable but is applied in full toward your chosen collection — so it is not an additional fee, it is your first payment.
Once your retainer is received I will send over your session agreement and we will begin planning your experience together.
I offer three curated collections — The Keepsake, The Legacy, and The Heritage — beginning at $450. Your $200 retainer is applied toward whichever collection you choose, along with $250 in gallery credit to put toward your order.
You can view full collection details on my
Investment Page.
Do you photograph large extended family sessions or reunions?
My sessions are designed for intimate family units of up to 8 people — this is where my lifestyle approach works most beautifully. For larger gatherings, I recommend seeking a photographer who specializes in large group coordination. I would love to work with your individual family unit separately whenever the time feels right.
