Little Goose Lane Gallery
Family and motherhood photographer documenting the connection, stories, and fleeting moments that make a family yours.
I photograph families, motherhood, and the little moments you may not realize you'll want to remember. The anticipation of a new baby, the first hello, sleepy newborn days, growing toddlers, and the beautiful chaos in between.
My sessions are gently guided but never overly posed, allowing space for connection, personality, and the moments that simply unfold.
The Motherhood Project
I've been thinking a lot about beginnings. The quiet, blurry, exhausting, completely ordinary moments when a family is becoming something new.
I'm increasingly drawn to documenting the beauty within those moments: the tiny details, the first hellos, the messy rooms, the tired parents, the way everyone is finding their new rhythm.
The Motherhood Project is my ongoing exploration of these beginnings; the honest, beautiful in-between moments of becoming and being a family.
The Heart Behind Little Goose Lane
Relaxed photography for families who don't want to spend their session posing. Beautiful photographs for real families. Created by someone who genuinely understands children.
Every family has a story worth remembering- not because it is perfect, but because it is yours.
After 30 years of working with children and families and 20+ years of photography experience, I've learned that the most meaningful photographs happen in the moments when everyone can simply relax and be themselves.
The laughter. The curiosity. The little hands reaching for yours. The moments you may not realize you'll want to remember until they're gone.
My approach is simple: child-led, natural interaction and natural-light photography that allows your family's connection to shine through.
I would be honored to tell your story.

Kind Words
We love Little Goose Lane Photography! Our 3 year old was not the most cooperative but Heather was so patient and accommodating! We received our edited photos very quickly and were thrilled with how they turned out! Heather was able to capture the sweet family moments that I want to remember forever. We will definitely be scheduling another session with Heather and would recommend to everyone!

Heather, with Little Goose Lane, was wonderful to work with. Scheduling was very easy, especially when we had a cold snap and very rainy weather at first. She captured the beautiful chaos of our family, which is no easy feat. She was so patient with my kids and did well with capturing candid moments that can now be cherished. The photos we received were truly beautiful. The gallery was easy to access and download. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Little Goose Lane Photography did my maternity photo shoot as well as newborn, family and one-year old pictures once my daughter arrived! Heather was professional and so helpful with where to go and what to do. I can’t wait to schedule my next session - she has a gift for capturing the little details of my family that I will want to remember forever. Highly recommend!

Before We Begin
A few things you may be wondering before your family's story is photographed.
A relaxed photography experience starts with knowing what to expect. Here are a few answers to the questions families often ask before stepping in front of my camera.
What happens after I inquire?
Once you reach out, we'll begin with a conversation about your family, the season of life you're in, and what you'd love to remember. We'll talk through the type of session you're looking for, choose a location, and plan the details so you feel prepared before we ever meet. I will send all the details as we go along! Very simple process!
My goal is for your session to feel easy from the very beginning.
What if my child doesn't cooperate?
This might be the most common question I hear—and one of my favorites to answer.
Your child does not need to sit perfectly still, smile on command, or behave a certain way for beautiful photographs to happen.
After 30 years of working with children and families, I know that the best moments often come when children are allowed to be themselves. We'll follow their lead, take breaks when needed, and make room for the giggles, curiosity, movement, and little personalities that make your family unique.
The moments you think are "messy" are often the ones you'll treasure most.
What can we expect during our session?
Think less "sit and smile" and more "spend time together while I document it."
I'll offer gentle guidance and prompting when needed, but I want your family to interact naturally. We'll laugh, explore, cuddle, play, and let your connections unfold. You will receive a guide after you schedule that will discuss what to expect during the session.
My goal is not to create a perfect version of your family. My goal is to capture the real one.
What should my family wear?
The best outfits are the ones that allow you to feel comfortable and confident while still feeling like yourselves.
I love soft textures, simple layers, and colors that complement one another without feeling overly matched. Movement is beautiful in photographs, so choose clothing that allows for cuddles, play, and connection.
Once your session is scheduled, you will receive a style & prep guide that shows you colors that work well together as well as visual inspirations to help guide you when trying to find the outfit for you and your family!
Your session should feel like your family.
I photograph families in beautiful outdoor locations throughout Northern and Central Kentucky, as well as in the comfort of home for certain sessions, including newborn photography.
Whether it's a favorite park, a quiet trail, your backyard, or the place where your newest little one is growing up, we'll choose a location that feels meaningful and natural for your story.
Newborn sessions are quiet, in-home sessions.
Where will our session take place?
How many images will we receive?
Each session includes professionally edited, high-resolution images delivered through a private online gallery. The number of images vary by session. You can see the sessions offered and details by clicking the button below.
Every image is thoughtfully selected and edited to preserve not only how your family looked during this season, but how it felt.
When will we receive our
images?
Your gallery will be delivered within 2–3 weeks after your session in a private online gallery.
I carefully select and edit each image so you receive a collection that tells the story of your time together.
Do you photograph newborn sessions in the home?
Yes. Newborn sessions are often most meaningful in the place where your family is beginning this new chapter.
A home session allows for the tiny details you'll want to remember. The nursery, the snuggles, the sleepy moments, and the way your baby fits so perfectly in your arms.
What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?
We'll keep an eye on the forecast and make the best decision together.
If the weather affects your session, we'll simply reschedule for another date that works for your family. My priority is making sure your experience feels relaxed and your photographs reflect the beauty of your chapter.
Do you offer prints and artwork?
Your online gallery allows you to easily view, download, and share your images.
I also believe your photographs deserve to exist beyond a screen, and I would love to help you choose meaningful ways to preserve and display your family's memories. When your online gallery is delivered, you will have an option to purchase prints. I collaborate with Miller Labs and I offer the convenience of being able to purchase prints from your gallery. You can also choose to print you images with another lab and that is perfectly fine. You will receive a personal photo release with your gallery that will allow you to purchase the prints elsewhere.
How do we get started?
If you're ready to document this season of your family's story, I'd love to hear from you.
Let's begin with a conversation and create something beautiful together.
